So I joined a FB group about creating wood signs because I have some reclaimed wooden sign pickets from an old fence.
Now I have a space in a local shop called “Southern Charms”. I’ve gone a little crazy, and I’m having so much fun with the designs. I love the fact that I can make something artistic out of junk.
So here’s my spot. Most of these are around $30.
This all started when we redid a portion of our fence. I saw the trash pile and had to save some of the pailings to make something decorative.
Here’s my “FALL” sign that I made.
I washed it with a diluted chalk paint, stenciled it and sealed it. Selling it for $49.
I’m working on lots more signs. Some with stained wood and frames. I’m hoping to make a larger Christmas door sign. Here it is ‘in process’.
My husband loves that I working with wood so much that he has set up a space in the 3rd garage with a table for me to work on. All of his Dad’s table saws have a new home. Ha!
I’ll show the finished ‘MERRY’ Christmas sign when completed.
